About Emily.
Emily Baird is a Consultant Psychologist, programme designer, Mental Health Educator and supervisor with more than 20 years' experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, athletes, teams and organisations across clinical, educational and community contexts.
Her career also includes a Triple P Positive Parenting Award for Excellence and Innovation, a contribution to the book The Home Therapist, and governance experience including a Deputy Chair role.
Across that work, Emily repeatedly saw how fragmented psychological knowledge can become. STRONG Inside grew from her belief that psychology should be easier to understand, practise and carry between the different environments and stages of human life.
Her work is relational, evidence-informed and human-centred, grounded in the principle that effective change begins with understanding the person within their relational, cultural and environmental system. Emily is committed to Te Tiriti-informed development, culturally responsive practice, and collaboration with people who bring the knowledge, experience and perspectives needed to shape STRONG Inside responsibly.
Outside her practice, Emily is a mother and an active member of her community, and giving back matters to her as much in life as it does in her work.
Awareness before action. Regulation before performance. Understand before judging. Human first.
